ISSUE #6: Does It Have To Be a Struggle?
Welcome to Issue #6 of the Attracting Abundance Newsletter. I am going to play with the controversial question, Does It Have To Be a Struggle?.

I recently taught another Attracting Abundance seminar in New York. When I asked the class members what their convictions were that might be keeping them stuck in poverty consciousness, several of them said "I'm convinced it has to be a struggle!" When I asked why they believed this, some of them said they learned it from their parents, others said "that's just the way it has always been." The good news is that this is an exceptionally easy limiting belief, or conviction, to neutralize with EFT.
If you have always experienced making money or holding onto money as a struggle, as hard, or as difficult, then your emotional system won't recognize the clues and hints that it is possible to make it easy. You are programmed to miss the incoming data that might show you a different way. Likewise, if you believe that no one in your family will ever make a lot of money, you won't either, not because this belief is true about anyone from your family, but because you are doing everything in your psychological power to make this come true. This is how the brain operates.
So, take this common "belief" (a thought you keep thinking and don't challenge) and address it with EFT.
What if it could be really easy, even fun, to make the amount
of money you wish, to feel loved and to love deeply, and have more than enough
time to play and enjoy yourself? (For more on this subject for those of you

Below you will find EFT Setup Phrases followed by two rounds (one negative and one positive) for this newsletter's topic, Does It Have To Be a Struggle?.
1. EFT SETUP PHRASES
The EFT SETUP Phrases for this topic are as follows:
While tapping the karate chop spot on either hand, repeat these phrases out loud, (or change the words to fit your exact situation).
"Even though I'm convinced it always has to be a struggle, I choose to accept me and my limiting beliefs."
"Even though I wouldn't feel comfortable if it felt easy, I accept that I open to new beliefs."
"Even though I'm afraid to think success might be easy, I have decided to change my expectations."
I have indicated where to tap while saying each of the phrases below. You may repeat this round more than once if you wish. (Those of you who are new to EFT may view a chart of the spots on my web site under the EFT pages.)
***Now, for the phrases that focus on the problem***
Eyebrow: "I have always struggled to make ends meet."
Side of Eye: "I wouldn't know what to do if it felt easy."
Under Eye: "I'm afraid to change my belief."
Nose: "I'm afraid to expect different results."
Chin: "What if I have been missing some information?"
Collarbone: "There's something comforting about struggling."
Under Arm: "I don't know how to make it easy."
Head: "I always do what I've always done."
***Now for the positive focus on the solution***
Eyebrow: "I love changing my limiting beliefs."
Side of Eye: "I love expecting my dreams to come true!"
Under Eye: "What if it's going to be easy from now on?"
Nose: "I choose to have fun and relax."
Chin: "I enjoy my new prosperity consciousness."
Collarbone: "I enjoy how easy and fun the process is."
Under Arm: "I didn't expect to have so much fun while earning a living!"
Head: "I love feeling grateful for all the blessings in my life."
Did you notice any resistance, any "Yes, but's..." surfacing? If you did, then tap another positive round, and add new words that suit your situation. For instance, one of my clients said he didn't know how he was going to make the emotional change from being convinced it needs to be a struggle to expecting success to come more easily. I told him he didn't need to know how it was going to happen, but that he did need to expect it to happen and keep tapping. We tapped additional rounds similar to the one below:
I love knowing it is possible...
I choose to believe in the guidance I am receiving...
I appreciate knowing I don't need to obsess about the details...
I appreciate the changes I have already made...
I love feeling so free...
I wish I had known this years ago...
I feel freer already and appreciate my life...
I am so grateful for my newfound belief in prosperity.
2. RECOMMENDATIONS AND TIPS:
Thank you again for your feedback regarding the following recommendation. I am including it for a second newsletter:
This week I recommend that you tap using positive statements only, such as "I love feeling good," or "I choose to feel confident," or "I know my dreams are on their way to me." I am recommending this for two reasons: (1) It will make you focus on the good things in your life and actually direct your energy towards the emotions in your tapping statements, and (2) It will make the "Yes, but" objections you have collected over time surface so you can tap on them. This may surprise you, but when you find your mind fighting this, use it as feedback for tapping targets.
While this recommendation is surprisingly simple, (no need for an Even though statement) many people find themselves resistant to it. This of course is good feedback as well. Why wouldn't you focus on your dreams coming true?>
Easy Tip:
Again, use this tip from the last newsletter:
My tip for this newsletter is to use your non-dominant hand for tapping for a few weeks. I am right handed, and 99 % of the time I use my right fingers to tap. While it feels awkward to use my left hand, I believe it is good to "shake things up" and use different brain circuitry involved in different levels of coordination. It takes more effort, which is good!

Have you tried the GRATITUDE WALK recently? I know, you've read about it, sounds good, but have you tried it in real life???
The Tapping Swap:
Get a friend or colleague who would be interested in swapping a tapping session with you. Take turns playing therapist and client. Here is the twist: when it is your turn to play therapist, direct the "client" to tap on themselves using all the words and phrases that would suit you and your issue you have chosen to work on. In other words, you're not asking about their issue, their problem or their conflict. Instead, you are directing them to use your words for your issue. Then switch, and they will treat you as the client but use their own words and issues. This is fun and very effective and often the results are very surprising. Recap:
1. Decide who is the therapist and who is the client.
2. If you are the therapist, choose your issue you would like to address with tapping.
3. Lead the "client" through several rounds of EFT using your words, your thoughts, your intuition etc. You are asking the client to in essence "play you."
4. Switch roles.
5. When you are the client, just follow the "therapist's" directions for where to tap and what to say. It will be his/her issue, not yours, even though you are supposed to be the client!
Don't write this recommendation off...you will be pleasantly surprised by what comes out of it.
